BNP Paribas and Fortis Investments complete merger

The combined entity is now operating under the brand name BNP Paribas Investment Partners.

BNP Paribas Investment Partners is the brand name for the asset management business of BNP Paribas S.A., which includes the following registered investment advisers in the US: BNP Paribas Asset Management, Inc., Fischer Francis Trees & Watts, Inc., Fortis Investment Management USA, Inc., FundQuest Incorporated and Malbec Partners, Inc.

A company statement said, "In combining the Fortis Investments and BNP Paribas organisations, we are bringing our clients a broader selection of investment solutions to meet their needs. Investments will continue to be managed in a professional manner. Furthermore, we will introduce US investment capabilities and global solutions that are now available as a result of our new relationship with BNP Paribas Investment Partners."
