CIMB declares income for 2 funds
CIMB-Principal declared income distributions for two of its equity funds –Equity Fund 2 and Equity Growth Fund.
CIMB declared its first income distribution for CIMB-Principal Equity Fund 2 at US$0.0148 per unit. It amounts to a distribution yield of 6.41 percent.
In tandem with its objective to achieve maximum capital appreciation over the long term through all types of investments, the Fund has outperformed its benchmark, the FTSE Bursa Malaysia Top 100 Index, and registered a cumulative return of 117.77 percent since it was first launched in September 1995.
With a fund size of RM191.51 million, the Fund invests in prominent stocks which include stocks from the banking, plantations and construction industries.
CIMB-Principal Equity Growth Fund also gave a gross distribution of US$0.0148 per unit, or a distribution yield of 10.49 percent. This Fund provides investors with long-term capital growth by investing principally in a diversified portfolio of equities with some foreign exposure.
