Aviva Investors gets Singapore licence
Aviva Investors has received a licence to provide fund management services to retail and institutional investors in Singapore.
The Capital Markets Services Licence in Fund Management, granted by the Monetary Authority of Singapore, means Aviva Investors will now be able to
offer a broader range of products to a larger number of clients in Singapore including segregated mandates, closed-ended and open-ended funds.
Craig Bingham, chief executive of Aviva Investors Asia Pacific said: “We have viewed Singapore as a core market for some time and have been keen to
expand our capabilities to meet growing client demand to invest in this region.
“Singapore is Aviva Investors central location for investment manufacturing in Asia and the granting of this licence enables us to build a more meaningful
presence. It will also allow us to bring our global expertise more comprehensively to the market.”
Aviva Investors first opened an office e in Singapore in 2007.
