Capital IQ expands Asian operations
Capital IQ is expanding its team in Tokyo to offer better support to its Japanese institutional investment customers, along with the opening of its Singapore office.
Vice president of Capital IQ Japan Keiko Tamura will head client development and sales operations to serve major investment banks, hedge funds, institutional money managers, private capital firms, and corporations.
Tom Schiller, executive vice president and Asia-Pacific head of Standard & Poor’s, said, "We understand both the size and sophistication of the Japanese market and are excited to build a world-class sales team in Tokyo. Expanding our client operations in Japan will provide the support we need to further accelerate our business objectives in Asia."
Meanwhile the Singapore office will support local client growth in Southeast Asia and supplement existing operations in Hong Kong and Beijing.
